Ask what the advertising actually buys.
Before approving a campaign, make its parts visible. A single marketing total can conceal very different services, periods and reporting.

Split the quote into comparable rows
Create rows for agency commission, portal advertising, photography, floor plans, copy, signage, styling and other quoted work. Record whether GST is included.
For each advertising placement, ask for the product, duration, renewal cost and cancellation terms. Compare current written quotes for your actual campaign.
Define the report before the campaign
Agree what the agent will report and how often. Impressions, listing views, phone interactions and submitted enquiries measure different actions.
Ask which figures include repeat visitors or automated traffic. A click is useful evidence of attention; it is not proof that someone is ready to buy.
Treat cheaper as a question, not a conclusion
A lower fee is only one part of the comparison. Consider the relevant buyer audience, quality of enquiries and the service your agent delivers.
Budget Property’s launch offers are confirmed in writing. Old portal fee examples and informal competitor comparisons are not a current price list or a guaranteed saving.
Keep an evidence file
Save the approved quote, campaign dates, weekly report and any agreed changes. That makes the review of your next campaign more useful than relying on memory.
